Nominations now open for YWCA Women of the Year 2026 presented by Sanford Health
FARGO, ND (January 6, 2026) — Nominations are now open for YWCA’s 53rd annual Women of the Year event.
For more than 50 years, YWCA Women of the Year has highlighted inspiring leaders, mentors, and visionaries. This signature event, attended by over 800 people, carries a legacy of celebrating women whose passion, service, and achievements help shape the Fargo-Moorhead community.
YWCA Women of the Year recipients will be announced during the event on Monday, April 20, 2026, at the Delta Hotel by Marriott. Proceeds from the evening support the mission and programs of YWCA Cass Clay.
Nominations are sought for women in Cass and Clay counties with significant achievements in ten categories:
Advocating for Equality
Arts, Culture, & Community
Business Leadership
Education
Health, Wellness, & Spirituality
Lifetime Achievement
Science, Technology, & Innovation
Volunteer Service
Young Woman of Today & Tomorrow
Youth Advocacy
To ensure an event of reasonable length and to best honor and respect the time and efforts of nominees and their nominators, nominations for YWCA Women of the Year will be limited to a maximum of 3-5 nominees per category, not to exceed 40 nominees total. Once the category limit has been reached, nominations in that category will no longer be accepted.
The final deadline, for any categories that do not reach maximum capacity, is Friday, February 20, 2026 at noon.
