register now for techgyrls
Do you know a young girl in grades four through seven? Is she interested in designing a robot, building a bridge, or making slime? If so, register her today for the spring session of TechGYRLS.
Hosted on the campus of NDSU, TechGYRLS is a YWCA program aimed at piqueing young girls’ interest in math, science, technology, and engireering. The class of up to 22 girls is taught by female engineering student mentors and meets for a period of ten weeks. Each class consists of various hands-on projects, business tours, and concludes with a parent social.
Cost for each participant is $20, with scholarships available to those in need. The deadline for registration is Wednesday, January 21 and a limited number of spots are available. The Women of the Year event honors special women whose lives, talents and passions shape the Cass-Clay community. Proceeds from this special occasion financially support the mission and programs of the YWCA Cass Clay. Women of the Year recipients will be named during the event on Monday, April 20, 2009, at 6:30 p.m..
